About Dalanwas

Dalanwas is a vibrant rural settlement located in the Mahendragarh district of Haryana, India. Situated approximately 15 kilometers from the district headquarters at Mahendragarh and close to Satnali, this village forms part of the Satnali Tehsil administrative subdivision and is governed by its elected Gram Panchayat under the Panchayati Raj system.

As per the 2011 Census of India, Dalanwas had a total population of 3,672 residents living in 702 families. Among them, around 1,936 are males and 1,736 are females. The village exhibits a higher literacy rate of 76.65%, which is slightly above the state average, with male literacy at about 89.96% and female literacy around 62.18%.

Dalanwas lies along the important Mahendragarh–Satnali road, giving it good connectivity with nearby towns and cities, including Narnaul and Pilani. Public transport and private bus services are available, and railway stations are reachable within 5–10 km, facilitating travel for education, employment, and trade.

The village community is agriculturally rooted, with farming still a major occupation for many families. Yet, Dalanwas also places strong emphasis on education and youth development. The presence of institutions such as Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nalanda Vidya Peeth School, and several primary schools highlights the focus on foundational education.
